I’m pleased you’ve come to visit my website. I hope you leave having gained something that you can apply to your everyday life, be it professional or personal.
My name is Andrew MacCorquodale and for as long as I can remember I’ve been driven to do one thing: build businesses. I started young, incorporating my first company at the age of 12, and in the years since have been involved in creating, building and selling many businesses in a diverse array of industries including technology, marketing, real estate, biosciences, and industrial health and safety.
Starting at such a young age has given me a noticeably different approach and attitude towards business. Many of the challenges I faced, mistakes I made and opportunities I was presented with were a direct result of my youth and the path I took to success.
Over the years I have had the support of an incredible family and the guidance of some amazing mentors. The people I call my mentors likely don’t realize I consider them as such. These are not people who taught me how to do what I do, but rather embraced my energy, regardless of age and experience, and supported my often exceedingly ambitious pursuits. I was able to learn a lot simply by listening to their own stories, observing how they carry themselves, conduct their businesses, handle their successes and failures, and overcome challenges.
Today I continue to do what I’m most passionate about. I’m involved in many businesses and, through my participation on a handful of boards and committees, am able to share my way of thinking about business, leadership, entrepreneurship and commerce with organizations around the world.
On this website I will share many of my own stories of success and failure, lessons learned, and general thoughts on business. In the same way that so many have done for me in the past, my hope is that something I share will inspire someone to raise the bar and chase their dreams, regardless of how ambitious it may be.
